Overview
The West End Substation was a cast in place concrete vault with a structural concrete slab that supported a pre-cast building which housed a 3333 Kv Transformer. On this project Schwertner worked as the civil / building contractor. This substation was brought on line to support the electrical demands to the always growing Philadelphia Naval Yard.
